The Papal Reform of the Eleventh Century: Lives of Pope Leo IX and Pope Gregory VII

The eleventh-century papal reform transformed the western European Church gregory leo and society gregory leo and permanently altered the relations of Church gregory leo and State in the west. In this first comprehensive treatment of Plato's political thought in a long time, John Wallach offers a "critical historicist" interpretation of Plato.
